Villa Certano, historic residence in Tuscany, found only 7 km away from the center of Siena, in the heart of the Chianti senese hillside.Here you can have a holiday in perfectly restored country houses, reminding you of italian farm traditions.
One can relax in private apartments, furnished with every comfort immaginable, immersed in the peace and tranquility of the countryside.
The houses make up a complex named Certano, in which its orgins have been lost with time. The small village has a chapel from the X century, a master villa with a facade constructed in the 700's, and a collection of antique country houses.
The Extra virgin olive oil of the Certano Farm is produced exclusively by us. The mature olives are handpicked.
The olives are cold stone pressed witihin 12 hours of being picked. This method ensures that the flavour and smell of the oil, characteristic of the area, remain untainted.
The oil is naturally purified when pressed and then poured. During the pressing, the oil comes out green, with low acidity, and is at first, a bit spicy.

Type: Five-room Apartment
The "Granaino" (Loft) apartment is situated on the first floor of the wing that connects the Villa to the rural residence "Roseto".
From the windows you can admire the roof top garden and gaze at the senesi hillside.
The "Granaino" apartment is made up of a kitchen, living-dining area with extendable arm-chairs, master bedroom, and bathroom with shower.
Outside, one can nap in the yard shaded by age-old cedar trees. |

Borgo Villa Certano - Scuderia Apartment (2+3 guest)
Type: Two-room Apartment
The "Scuderia" (Stable) apartment is found on the first floor of a building used in the past as a stable and is seperated by the central part of the Villa, its position making a sort of small internal plaza within the residence.
From the ground level entrance, furnished with antique decor, you can enter the first floor of the open-space living area, with a beautiful view of the small plaza and cedar trees.
The apartment has a living-dining area, kitchen, master bedroom, double-bed room and a single.
Not to mention the relaxing shade of the Cedar woods, postioned nicely in the park in front of the house. |

Type:
A former peasants' house, has four bedrooms with two beds each plus a small room where a bed could be placed.
There is a kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher, a dining room with a big fireplace, a living room with sofas.
There are three bathrooms (one with bathtub and two with shower).
Total number of beds: 8+1.
The bedroom on the groundfloor is suitable for handicapped persons with wheel chair. |
