Debbiare Agriresidence is located in Tuscany, in the province of Pisa, about 200 m above the sea level. It is only 10 Km far from the sea and it is set in the centre of an estate of 200 hectares, between the villages of Riparbella and Castellina Marittima, at a short distance from the ”Wine Road of the Etruscan Coast”. At Debbiare Agriresidence, everywhere you will stay you may enjoy a charming view of the Thyrrenian Sea.
Two old farmhouses are made into a family house, 10 apartments (with two or three bedrooms), a reception, a wide swimming-pool with Jacuzzi (next to the children’s swimming-pool), a solarium and a comfortable parking-place.
Its name -Debbiare- comes from an ancient custom, that is, once in the land where now it is set Debbiare Agriresidence the dry grass was burned and sods of the soil were piled up, leaving in every heap an internal hollow where faggots were put and lighted through a small opening. This was called “debbio” and it was done to improve the soils rich in organic substances and colloidal substituens and also to destroy parasites.
Debbiare Agriresidence may be the starting place to visit the wonderful arts and landscape of Tuscany and above all the near art-cities of Volterra, San Gimignano, Pisa, Siena, Lucca and Florence and the villages of Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri.
