The "Petrolo Estate" is situated among the green olive groves, active vineyards and beautiful oak woods. A place full of charm and history.
The estate has , as its landmark , the Tower of Galatrona. The Tower's foundation dates back to the Etruscan and Romans and the Estate's best wines are named "Torrione" (big tower) and "Galatrona".The "Villa" overlooks the ancient Romanesque Pieve (parish church), which houses works by Giovanni della Robbia.
All these places are within short walking distance from the main "Villa".
Moreover, available for the guests, are three small private lakes in which it is possible to go fishing. On request it is possible to visit the wine-cellars and the traditional olive-mill and to taste and purchase the estate's products.It's available for our guests an internet point without any charge
The "Petrolo Estate" includes the "Villa" (Villa Petrolo) and three independent farmhouses: La Costa, La Vigna, Feriale I and Feriale II :
The "Villa" is the main building on Tenuta di Petrolo, built by the architect Massimiliano Soldani as his own residence, between 1700 and 1750.
The "Villa" has a vast private garden of over 1 hectar, a 6 x 12 meter swimming pool and a tennis court surrounded by spectacular cypresses, for the exclusive use of the villa's guests.
The Vigna : farmhouse is surrounded by olive trees and vineyards and has a South-Eastern exposure.
Feriale I : The house is located in proximity of the swimming pool. It has an expansive view of the woods and the valley below.
Feriale I : The apartment is located on the ground floor of the same farmhouse as Feriale I.
Costa : The farmhouse is on the hill, just below the Tower of Galatrona, symbol of the whole property. It is completely surrounded by chestnut trees and from the house there is a sweeping view of the valley. |
